World by making the foils participants in the campaign’s action. The examples of complications given for downtime activities are ideal plans for a foil to make against the characters. Use them as inspiration for plans of your own creation, or throw them, as written, at the characters when it seems appropriate. You can use a complication. The DMG does give prices for magic items, but it also states that they are essentially priceless. I highly suggest against a high magic campaign in 5E. If you have to have a market for magic items in your game, the price guidelines are good ones as the average monster does not drop much gold. May 31, 2018 Let's loot the room! In this video, we discuss method Dungeon Masters can use for awarding magic items and treasure in your Dungeons.

Creating New Equipment
Go to the appropriate equipment list above, and use the 'create new' link. Keep '(5e Equipment)' in the title!
Magic item or mundane item? If you are making an item with unusual properties (perhaps it is clockwork, or made of an unusual material) it could be treated as either. Ask yourself the following questions.
- Can the item be routinely found for sale with no special restrictions? If so, it can be treated as mundane and given a gp value.
- Can the item not normally be purchased, and is it more appropriate as a reward or loot find? If so, give it a rarity and treat it as a magic item.
In some cases the item might be treated as both magical and mundane. For example, a potion of healing is magical and is a common reward or piece of loot, but it can also be routinely purchased.
And if you are looking for pointers on how equipment should be made, look no further than Equipment Design (5e Guideline).

Dnd 5e Dmg
I have searched and searched for them, but so far had not seen the DMG loot tables anywhere. So, I decided to create the random loot tables myself. If this has already been done, I apologize for duplicating this. I do not have it all completed yet. I have the basic tables from individual and hoard loot of all the different challenge ratings. I only have been able to get Magic Item Tables A through G in. Once I complete, I will upload and share my tables for anyone who wants.
Also, is there a way to get a table result to auto-roll a NdN times on another table? If there is, I would love to know. So far I can only get it to do 1 new roll, which means the DM then has to figure out if there are more rolls to be made and manually roll off the table for the additional rolls.
Also, way down the road, I may add in every magic item as well, but currently I am only adding in the stuff my group finds for their use. There are tons, and I am sure you understand. I will add files once I get the rest of the Magic Item Tables completed.
